VHL and Health IKM are currently being consolidated in the Guyana

The development of the VHL GUY was the main reason for the visit to Georgetown, capital of Guyana, with Richard Van-West Charles (IKM/PAHO), Abel Packer, Director, Silvia de Valentin, manager of Administrative Management, and Isabel Antelo, Project Unit of BIREME/OPAS/OMS, on December 13-16, 2005. Health Minister pays tribute to the launching of TT VHL

Online Scientific Literature at AIM with VHL search engine interface

Available online since November 2005, the African Index Medicus (AIM) indexes scientific literature on health by African authors or authors related to Africa using a VHL data retrieval interface, developed by BIREME /PAHO/ WHO. AIM is a joint initiative of the African Regional Office (AFRO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) in collaboration with the Association for Health Information and Libraries in Africa (AHILA), contributing to the visibility and accessibility of the scientific production on health by African authors

São Paulo State Department of Health Formalizes Specific Project for Scientific and technical Information Management

Good Practices on Food Manufacturing and Manipulation Course in Ceará state in Brazil closes with 90% of students approved

On December 12, 2005, the e-course on Good Practices on Food Manufacturing and Manipulation recorded a 90% student approval rate. This is yet another activity within the scope of the agreement between the Ceará State Health Secretary (SESA) in Brazil and BIREME/PAHO/WHO.
