With the integration of new journals approved by the Advisory Committee, the SciELO Brazil collection reaches the 150 title mark. In 2006, the collection should publish between 170 and 180 titles. Publications from several areas have been included, widening the collection's scope and the options available to the user. Among the new titles, there are many journals on health, education, environment, history, economics, and several subjects and issues published by other highly-regarded publishers in the scientific community. A technical cooperation program celebrated with the countries covered by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) provided the funds to develop the subject area health cultural heritage, involving Casa de Oswaldo Cruz of Fiocruz, in Brazil, and the Cultural Heritage Unit of the Ministry of Health, in Chile. The program was also supported by PAHO's offices in Chile and in Brazil. The project falls within the scope of the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and History and Cultural Heritage on Health development. In September 2004, an agreement was celebrated between the Joint United Nations Program on HIV /Aids and the Brazilian Government. UNIAIDS main responsibility is to suggest and support cooperation agreements among the countries of the Southern Hemisphere to strengthen and support these countries responses to AIDS. The first of these initiatives was concluded on February 17, 2006, in the Instituto de Infectologia Emílio Ribas [Institute of Infectious Diseases Emílio Ribas] with the support of Hospital Ipiranga. On February 17, 2006, Helena Bonciani Nader was granted the title of Professor Honoris Causa from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). Helena is the head of the discipline of Molecular Biology of the Universidade Federal de Sao Paulo (Unifesp).
