The VHL ePORTUGUÊSe network, headed by WHO, counts with Guinea Bissau and São Tomé and Príncipe, who most recently launched their national VHL instances. Angola, Brazil and Mozambique are also part of the ePORTUGUÊSe network. The countries keep promoting actions to develop the network, such as the 3rd Coordination Meeting, based in São Tomé and Príncipe, that shall take place between September 23rd and September 30th 2011

The collection of information sources in the VHL and associated networks are enriched through the development of infographics. Launched in 2009 by BIREME/PAHO/WHO, the infographics started to be made available in the TropIKA.net platform in 2011, focusing on the dissemination of scientific information on dengue. The Virtual Health Library in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science (VHL Vet Brazil) expands the dissemination of technical and scientific information in this area by providing the interfaces in Spanish and English besides Portuguese as the original language. The network implements the VHL model by innovating on resources and services offered to the users, also strengthening the capacity development through distance learning courses offered to the cooperating centers from the network of the VHL Vet Brasil
